Maomao II Big — Banpresto figure

About this The Apothecary Diaries figure

Maomao II Big comes from Banpresto's The Apothecary Diaries output, released under the Sofvimates line. It stands about 6.3 in. Nothing about it is kit work: the pose was set at the factory, the paint went on there too, and the only thing left for an owner to do is seat it on the base.

What the listing specifies

Looking after it

Keep it out of direct sun. Prize-figure paint is thin by design and the warm tones go first; a shelf across the room from a window will outlast one on the sill by years. Dust with a soft brush rather than a cloth — woven fabric catches on sculpted hair tips and snaps them.

Where this Banpresto figure sits in the hall

On the The Apothecary Diaries shelf this is the 7th dearest of 12 Banpresto figures, and the shelf as a whole runs $30 to $45. For scale, the deepest shelf in the hall is Dragon Ball with 115 collectable figures on it; a Dragon Ball piece from the same line as this one is built to the same height and finish, which is the quickest way to judge a Banpresto format before committing to it.
