About this The Apothecary Diaries figure
Maomao (Garden Party) is a The Apothecary Diaries piece. It stands about 9.1 in. It is a display piece rather than a toy — the pose is the product, and there is nothing to articulate or swap afterwards.
What the listing specifies
Taken from the product listing, trimmed of the sales language:
- Standing at approximately 9.1", Maomao is seen in their iconic pose
Looking after it
Treat the paint as the fragile part. It is thin, it fades under UV faster than a scale figure's does, and it marks if you rub it. Shade plus a soft dry brush is the whole routine.
Where this Banpresto figure sits in the hall
On the The Apothecary Diaries shelf this is the 5th dearest of 12 Banpresto figures, and the shelf as a whole runs $30 to $45. For scale, the deepest shelf in the hall is Dragon Ball with 115 collectable figures on it; a Dragon Ball piece from the same line as this one is built to the same height and finish, which is the quickest way to judge a Banpresto format before committing to it.

Cute and playful figure!
Beautiful! I like Maomao's graceful pose and the flow/movement of her clothing. She also has a playful/flirtatious expression on her face. I have two other Maomao figures from Banpresto (Moon Fairy & Poncho). They are slightly shorter than the Garden Party figure. I ended up liking the height difference because I can stagger them in my display cabinet, without taking up too much room. A riser is also an option. I do wish that Banpresto had put lipstick on the Garden Party and the upcoming Walk Around Town versions, but it's not a deal breaker. I suppose I could add removal color to her lips, but I'm too afraid I might stain the figure!
