Taro Sakamoto — Banpresto figure

About this Sakamoto Days figure

Taro Sakamoto comes from Banpresto's Sakamoto Days output, released under the Vibration Stars line. It stands about 7.1 in. Like the rest of the prize range it is a fixed pose, finished at the factory and shipped ready to stand — nothing to assemble beyond seating it on its base.

What the listing specifies

Taken from the product listing, trimmed of the sales language:

• Vibration Stars Taro Sakamoto figure!
• Standing at approximately 7.1" tall, Sakamoto Taro is seen in their iconic pose

Looking after it

Two things shorten a prize figure's life: a sunny shelf and a damp cloth. Keep it shaded, and when dust settles use a dry make-up brush — cloth fibres hook on sculpted hair and fingers and take them off.

Where this Banpresto figure sits in the hall

On the Sakamoto Days shelf this is the 5th dearest of 12 Banpresto figures, and the shelf as a whole runs $21 to $51. For scale, the deepest shelf in the hall is Dragon Ball with 115 collectable figures on it; a Dragon Ball piece from the same line as this one is built to the same height and finish, which is the quickest way to judge a Banpresto format before committing to it.
