Kurama (30th Anniversary), Statue — Banpresto figure

About this YuYu Hakusho figure

Kurama (30th Anniversary), Statue comes from Banpresto's YuYu Hakusho output, released under the DXF line. It stands about 6.7 in. Nothing about it is kit work: the pose was set at the factory, the paint went on there too, and the only thing left for an owner to do is seat it on the base.

What the listing specifies

Taken from the product listing, trimmed of the sales language:

• Standing at approximately 6.7" tall, Kurama is seen in his popular pose

Looking after it

Treat the paint as the fragile part. It is thin, it fades under UV faster than a scale figure's does, and it marks if you rub it. Shade plus a soft dry brush is the whole routine.

Where this Banpresto figure sits in the hall

On the YuYu Hakusho shelf this is the 2nd dearest of 16 Banpresto figures, and the shelf as a whole runs $14 to $52. For scale, the deepest shelf in the hall is Dragon Ball with 115 collectable figures on it; a Dragon Ball piece from the same line as this one is built to the same height and finish, which is the quickest way to judge a Banpresto format before committing to it.
