About this Tales of Arise figure
Alphen (Ver. A) belongs to the Tales of Arise side of the floor, released under the Q Posket line. It stands about 5.9 in. Nothing about it is kit work: the pose was set at the factory, the paint went on there too, and the only thing left for an owner to do is seat it on the base.
What the listing specifies
Taken from the product listing, trimmed of the sales language:
- Tales of Arise Qposket Alphen (ver. A)!
- His battle armor has been faithfully recreated in his usual black color, and he stands in a commanding pose looking calm and composed as he glances to the side
- Alphen features big, expressive doll-like eyes that bring out his charm
Looking after it
Two things shorten a prize figure's life: a sunny shelf and a damp cloth. Keep it shaded, and when dust settles use a dry make-up brush — cloth fibres hook on sculpted hair and fingers and take them off.
Where this Banpresto figure sits in the hall
On the More Anime Figures shelf this is the 105th dearest of 169 Banpresto figures, and the shelf as a whole runs $12 to $88. For scale, the deepest shelf in the hall is Dragon Ball with 115 collectable figures on it; a Dragon Ball piece from the same line as this one is built to the same height and finish, which is the quickest way to judge a Banpresto format before committing to it.

★★★★☆
Beautiful figure with a little fault
It really is a beautiful figure, and if you loved Tales of Arise like I did, it can be a must-buy collectible. BUT... it's not perfect. Maybe it's just a fault on my model, but probably you can find same kind of faults on other models too. Fortunately, I can shoot a lot of photos where nobody would see the fault, and in normal viewing conditions, you really can't see it. (I don't know if it's replacable or not, but I won't try it, because I don't know if the next model would be better or worse.)
