About this One Piece figure
This is The Monkey D. Luffy Special ver. (ver. B), out of the One Piece roster, released under the King of Artist line. It stands about 5.5 in. What ships is what you see in the photographs — a single fixed pose, no articulation, no accessories to attach beyond the base it stands on.
What the listing specifies
Taken from the product listing, trimmed of the sales language:
- King of Artist Monkey D. Luffy -special ver.- (B)!
- Standing at approximately 5.5" tall, Luffy is seen in their exciting new pose!
Looking after it
Treat the paint as the fragile part. It is thin, it fades under UV faster than a scale figure's does, and it marks if you rub it. Shade plus a soft dry brush is the whole routine.
Where this Banpresto figure sits in the hall
On the One Piece shelf this is the 75th dearest of 176 Banpresto figures, and the shelf as a whole runs $11 to $91. For scale, the deepest shelf in the hall is Dragon Ball with 115 collectable figures on it; a Dragon Ball piece from the same line as this one is built to the same height and finish, which is the quickest way to judge a Banpresto format before committing to it.
